Creativity, in all of its variety, mystery and wonder will be celebrated on August 10th at 10:00 am in Whiting Indiana, on 119th street in the heart of the business district. Invention, engineering, design, fine art, craft, food and music will be the themes of the day.

The fourth annual Race for the Future, an event honoring invention, engineering and design, will be launched from its headquarters at the Chamber of Commerce. Inventors from around the country will gather to test their ideas for alternately powered vehicles against a five mile course through the city’s charming and historic neighborhoods.
